Job Description
Acushnet Europe, based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, is seeking a detail oriented and proactive Purchasing Administrator to join our Cresting Operations & Administration team. The role is full time, permanent and reports to the Purchasing Team Leader.
Responsibilities- Raise and manage purchase orders for operational teams.
- Keep systems and records up to date and compliant.
- Assist colleagues with purchasing queries.
- Support reporting, forecasting and data analysis.
- Chase and resolve supplier issues (deliveries, quality, payments).
- Manage the Goods Received Notice process to ensure accuracy.
- Identify cost saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Support supplier negotiations and contracts.
- Check open purchase orders for accuracy.
- Collaborate with Engineering and EHS on new products or trials.
- Some experience in purchasing, procurement or a similar admin role.
- Good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong eye for detail and organisational skills.
- Confidence communicating with different teams and suppliers.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
- Experience in a manufacturing or operations environment (bonus).
- Knowledge of AS400 and experience with embroidery (bonus).
