Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are looking for an organised and accurate Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our Accounts team at our Head Office in Bury St Edmunds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail who enjoys working in a busy, deadline-driven finance environment.

The Role

Working closely with the wider Accounts team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing and coding supplier invoices and credit notes accurately
  • Matching invoices against purchase orders and investigating discrepancies
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving outstanding items
  • Preparing supplier payment runs for authorisation
  • Responding to supplier and internal departmental queries
  • Ensuring invoices are correctly authorised in line with company procedures
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger records
  • Assisting with month-end procedures and reporting
  • Supporting the Accounts team with other duties when required
About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Previous purchase ledger or general accounts experience
  • Strong numerical and administrative skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office 365, teams etc.
  • The ability to organise and prioritise a varied workload
  • Confidence communicating with suppliers, managers and colleagues
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience within the automotive industry or using Pinewood Pinnacle would be advantageous, although training can be provided
