Position SummaryWe are seeking to appoint a Pupil Welfare Officer with experience in a school attendance role, to join the Academy's attendance team.
Key Responsibilities- Support the attendance team in improving pupil attendance outcomes.
- Work directly with children and families to develop visit plans, house visits, and interventions that improve attendance.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and analyse data to identify trends.
- Apply relevant school attendance legislation and policy guidance in day to day practice.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure whole school support.
- Experience working directly with pupils and families to improve attendance.
- Knowledge of school attendance legislation.
- Drive, enthusiasm, resilience, warmth and a sense of humour.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

37 hours per week, term time only + 10 Inset days. Hours: 08:00am - 04:00pm Mon Thurs, Fri 03:30pm.
SalarySO2 FTE £37,615 - £39,401; Term Time Equivalent £33,639 - £35,236.
