Hours: 21 hours per week, 39 weeks sessional
Salary: £30,188 - £34,452 (Pro rata for part time and sessional)
8:15 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (less unpaid breaks). Planned start date: Monday 10 August 2026.
ResponsibilitiesThe role involves:
- Planning and implementing tailored support for primary aged pupils with additional learning needs, including fine & gross motor skills, social and communication skills, and academic support in and out of class.
- Providing support to improve school attendance.
- Collaborating with teachers and support staff to deliver effective, individualised support.
Applicants must have experience working with primary aged pupils with identified additional support needs. Previous completion of LIAM (Let's Introduce Anxiety Management) training is beneficial; training can be provided.
Regulatory requirements (PVG & Criminal Record Checks)This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Candidates will be required to join or update the PVG Scheme, and to provide an overseas criminal record check if they have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK within the last 5 years.
