The Merrion Hotel has partnered with Flow Hospitality Training to provide a bespoke learning management system for all of our team members. The Merrion is the first hotel in Ireland to provide accredited and tailor made training via Flow Hospitality Training.
The Merrion, one of Dublin's finest luxury hotels and a proud member of The Leading Hotels of the World, is now recruiting for a Public Areas Attendant to join our dedicated Accommodation Services team. Key Responsibilities- Deliver a warm, professional, and helpful service to guests at all times.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond with a caring, prompt attitude to enhance satisfaction.
- Maintain all public areas to the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and safety.
- Monitor maintenance issues in public areas and report them as per hotel policy.
- Handle lost property according to departmental procedures.
- Ensure correct and safe use of equipment, chemicals, and materials, always keeping storage areas tidy and well organised.
- Uphold all health, safety, hygiene, and fire regulations.
- Promote the hotel's services and actively support upselling opportunities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a pride in maintaining 5 standards.
- Courteous and effective communication with colleagues and guests.
- Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A understanding of the importance of guest care and providing anticipative, discreet service.
- The ability to follow procedures and adapt to the changing needs of the hotel.
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
This is a full-time role (39 hours per week) with shift work, including weekends and public holidays, on a rota basis.
