Job Description

Scotland the home of William Wallace, Bagpipes and deep fried Mars bars! But did you know there is much more beauty to Scotland?

With the Unicorn as its national animal, the myths and legends are plentiful, but the land is vast, stunning, and covered in some of the world's oldest trees and castles. There are 900 islands listed, beautiful beaches & wildlife you could only imagine, but what do the cities offer? Edinburgh is known as the centre of culture, entertainment, and festivals, but Dundee established itself for architecture and feats of engineering along with its heritage sites. Aberdeen sits nicely on the coast with famous ties in press and journalism. Jump on a ferry to see the Shetlands or travel to some of Europe's most northern cities. Visit Stirling, the 'Gateway to the Highlands,' or travel the beautiful A9 to reach Inverness, where you can witness Scotland's most historic sites, meet the Hairy Coos , or try to spot Nessy.

What I'm trying to say (not as an employee of the Scottish travel board) is, Scotland is awesome. Get yourself there ASAP!

National Locums are looking for doctors across both Consultant and Middle Grade levels to join many of their hospitals across Scotland. Primarily in Dundee, Fife, Forth Valley, and the Highlands; we can offer great packages, long-term opportunities (some with accommodation), plus the chance to smell the Scottish fresh air before all the tourists suck it up again next year. Below are gaps that we are recruiting for:

  • Old Age Psychiatry
  • Forensic Psychiatry

If you find yourself interested by the prospect, please let me know so we can have a wee chat about the roles and your potential new locum life in Scotland. One final thing, check out the photos and see below a statement from one of our current locums working in Scotland it may be the final piece of persuasion.

"I have never been to a more beautiful place, where the countryside is as nice as the people. Welcoming, charming, hilarious, and relaxed. No turning back, so please don't let my contract run out, Colin!"
