Job Description
Prototype Planner Reference: Umbrella Rate: £27.30/hr (Inside IR35)

What You Will Do:
  • Ensure all delivery promises are recorded and tracked within one week of receipt.
  • Secure 87% of parts for the first car of each schedule by the required deadline.
  • Prevent build stoppages and point-of-fit losses during all prototype builds.
  • Coordinate timely shipping collections for prototype parts using cost-efficient transport methods.
  • Negotiate delivery dates with suppliers to support multiple prototype production builds.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to export materials and ensure assemblies meet prototype requirements.
  • Work with internal tool rooms and 3D printing operations to align production slots with prototype needs.
  • Build strong relationships with key suppliers to enhance delivery performance and ensure long-term success.
  • Present programme delivery status to senior management in various forums.
What You Will Bring:
  • Background in managing a portfolio of suppliers, including prototype requirements.
  • Previous knowledge of booking transport would be beneficial.
  • Can-do attitude, tenacious with confidence to escalations issues to senior levels.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure delivery dates and production slots.
  • Confident presentation skills to communicate delivery status effectively.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proactive with a solution-focused mindset.
