The Security Operations Center (SOC) Lead - Senior Manager will manage Dublin's SOC, ensuring excellence across the three core ASOC pillars: Threat Monitoring, Building Monitoring & Alarms, and ASOC Calls. In this role, the SOC Lead will manage a team focused on responding to complex, high impact incidents affecting Accenture employees, travelers, facilities, and business operations globally. Incidents may include extreme weather, geopolitical instability, crime, terrorism, civil unrest, medical and personnel emergencies, and travel related disruptions.
The SOC Senior Manager ensures incidents are properly assessed, escalated, coordinated, and communicated in alignment with the GP&S Escalation Model and SOC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role also contributes to the Global Security Operations Centers Leadership team, driving SOP consistency, simplifying processes, and collaborating with other SOC Leads.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities- Support buildout of the SOC and manage recruitment phases.
- Provide senior leadership and expertise across all aspects of Accenture to monitor threats from terrorism and criminal matters, perform impact analysis, and report to key decision makers.
- Lead a team to develop, assess, and execute new initiatives that simplify, standardize, and optimize threat monitoring operations, reducing analysis and reporting times.
- Develop innovative threat reporting operations processes and tools, focusing on virtualization and big data.
- Lead with kindness and prioritize SOC team development to ensure leadership growth.
- Set clear priorities within the SOC to support overall company objectives.
- Manage demands from projects and technology upgrades, including vendor tools/solutions recommendations.
- Oversee SOC operations, including staffing, budgeting, planning, implementation, maintenance, administration, projects, and logistics.
- Support adoption of new technologies and recommend capability improvements to threat analysis and reporting operations.
- Develop strategic roadmaps to meet security communications goals.
- Oversee shift supervisors' daily operations, including training, scheduling, performance, career development, and leadership briefings.
- Conduct training and tabletop exercises for SOC operators.
- Develop guidance procedures, review processes, and workflows to create efficiencies.
- Liaise, notify, assist, and direct external emergency personnel and internal resources as necessary.
- Provide shift flexibility, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years' experience leading and managing a 24/7 security operations center
- Additional 5+ years of related experience in corporate security, military, or law enforcement
- Excellent written, analytical, and communication skills
- Deep cultural and geographic knowledge working in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region
- Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills
- Ability to safeguard highly confidential information
