Proposal / Tender Engineer ZH Marine / Offshore English speaking possible

Focus Engineering is currently looking for a Proposal / Tender Engineer for our client in the maritime and offshore sector in the Rotterdam area.

This is a permanent position directly with our client.

Our client supports complex maritime projects worldwide by offering technical expertise and innovative solutions for heavy lifting and transportation operations at sea. They serve various clients in the Marine, Oil & Gas, and Petrochemical industries. Their services combine engineering, fleet management, and project execution for offshore constructions and installations. The location houses over 100 employees, including 40 engineers across three disciplines. You will be part of a team of four proposal engineers.

You will be responsible for:

• You will be preparing technical documentation such as drawings, calculations, and reports for tenders and client requests;
• You will be assessing the feasibility of lifting and transport operations, including selecting the appropriate equipment and methods;
• You will be preparing budgets for engineering hours, mobilization, and required equipment;
• You will be collaborating with internal departments and clients to develop safe, efficient, and competitive project proposals.

Who are you?

• You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field;
• You have at least 5 years of work experience in the maritime, offshore, or shipping industries, or a similar technical environment;
• You like to be working as a link between engineering and sales;
• You have strong command of the English language, both spoken and written.
