Job Description

At Bidwells, we are driven by our mission to provide the UK's most sustainable and innovative property advice. For over 185 years, we have been at the forefront of real estate and have expanded our influence from our

Cambridge head office across the Golden Triangle and beyond.

In 2024, Bidwells became among the pioneering UK property consultancies to receive BCorp accreditation, reflecting our commitment to being a responsible, purpose-driven business.

If you're looking for a role where no two days are the same, where you're trusted to take ownership, and where your expertise genuinely matters, Bidwells could be your next home.

Our Residential Team is known for delivering an exceptional, highly personalised service across a diverse portfolio-from charming period cottages to contemporary new build homes. Every property is handled with care, collaboration, and deep market knowledge. As a Property Manager, you'll be at the heart of that experience.

What you'll be doing

You'll manage a varied portfolio of quality residential properties, building strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and contractors while keeping everything running smoothly. Your day could include:

  • Carrying out property inspections and reporting back to landlords and tenants
  • Coordinating repairs, maintenance and contractor visits
  • Handling daily queries and resolving issues with professionalism and clarity
  • Keeping property management systems up to date and processing invoices
  • Monitoring maintenance spend and advising clients on best practice
  • Ensuring all properties meet current compliance standards (Gas Safety, EICR, EPC, Right to Rent, deposit protection and more)
  • Managing move ins, utility notifications, inventories, check ins/check outs and deposit negotiations
  • Preparing and serving notices, and chasing arrears where required
  • Staying informed on legislative changes and applying them confidently
About You

You'll thrive in this role if you are:

  • Experienced in property management or a similar role
  • Highly organised, articulate and confident communicating with a wide range of people
  • Skilled with Word, Excel and general property management systems
  • Calm under pressure, accurate with detail, and motivated by deadlines
  • A natural relationship builder who delivers excellent customer service
  • Comfortable working independently but equally collaborative within a team
  • A full driving licence holder
  • Local knowledge of Cambridge and surrounding areas
  • ARLA qualification (or a desire to work towards it-we'll support you)
  • Experience improving processes or introducing new ways of working
