Job Description
- Oversee and proactively manage land and buildings within LDA ownership
- Provide land management and support services for LDA sites and landbanks
- Support the Senior Property Manager on commercial licences and land agreements
- Ensure land holdings are secure, safe and compliant with insurance requirements
- Engage with the internal Insurance Team regarding site insurance requirements
- Develop annual land management budgets and deliver value-for-money land management strategies
- Deliver monthly reports on site expenditure, performance and compliance
- Support delivery of land strategy and portfolio performance
- Manage commercial property agreements and land on a day-to-day basis
- Engage approved contractors and service providers to deliver repair and contractual services
- Ensure reactive repairs and other matters are addressed promptly
- Obtain competitive quotes and instruct works in line with public procurement guidelines
- Oversee annual planned preventative maintenance where required
- Conduct regular site and property inspections across Ireland
- Engage appointed agents on land and property management matters
- Ensure statutory compliance for sites within the portfolio
- Liaise with Finance on land financial operations, accounts, invoice reviews and cost reduction opportunities
- Report monthly to the Senior Property Manager on costs, operational matters and risk management
- Support development of land and asset management strategies
- Collaborate on asset management systems for property information, compliance and decision support
- Deliver annual KPIs and performance requirements
- Proactively manage and oversee appointed security providers
- Complete land/site security assessments and identify security management and site handover strategies
- Advise LDA business units on security and land management
- Deliver weekly/monthly security reports
- Engage internal and external stakeholders on site security matters
- Deliver and review annual land management and security budgets
- Oversee or complete site security inspections
- Perform other duties based on evolving operational requirements
- Minimum 4 years' land and/or property management experience
- Member of the SCSI or, at a minimum, have route to membership in progress
- Excellent relationship management skills, internally and externally
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Understanding of title and legal documents
- Understanding of risk management and mitigation measures
- Good knowledge and understanding of land management best practice and associated land/commercial lettings
- Detailed knowledge of issues, developments and current thinking in best practice in Asset Management
- Understanding of planning and development laws
- Working knowledge of Building Regulations and Heritage Buildings
- Working knowledge of current opportunities and trends in facilities and land management, with capability to advise on maximising operational efficiencies
- Own car and full, clean driving licence
- Ability to travel across Ireland
- Initiative-taking ability and prioritisation skills

- Strong commercial awareness and sound professional judgement
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience of other property-related IT systems desired
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Flexible and adaptable, with capability to manage multiple sites via external suppliers or internal teams
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
Demonstrates expertise in land and property management, including compliance with planning laws and regulations, financial operations, and risk management. Proficient in developing and executing land management strategies while ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and operational efficiency.
