The Role
Environ Property Services is seeking an experienced, highly organised and results-driven Property Maintenance Operations Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our Maintenance: Damp, Roofing and Restoration divisions.
This is more than a scheduling position. It's an opportunity to lead a department, improve how a business operates and develop towards an Operations Manager role.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will oversee our Maintenance Coordination team, ensuring efficient scheduling of surveyors, tradespeople and subcontractors, effective job management, and the successful delivery of maintenance and repair works.
This is a hands-on operational leadership role, not simply an administrative or scheduling position.
We are looking for someone with extensive experience coordinating property maintenance works who can confidently manage people, drive accountability, resolve operational challenges and improve departmental performance.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must reside within approximately 1 hour's commuting distance of Fulham, London (SW6 4HH).
- Minimum 5 years' experience scheduling, planning and coordinating property maintenance / repairs work within the property maintenance or construction industry.
- Experience scheduling roofing, damp or property restoration work, with a good understanding / technical knowledge of at least two of these three trades.
- Proven leadership experience, supervising coordinators, planners, schedulers or maintenance operations teams and taking responsibility for a busy planning or coordination function.
- Strong understanding of tradespeople, surveyors, subcontractors, job sequencing, scheduling and site appointments.
- Exceptional diary management skills, with the ability to manage multiple jobs, teams and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong technical understanding of property maintenance processes.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, problem-solving and client management skills.
- Confidence using scheduling software, job management systems and digital reporting tools.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Operational Management
- Leading the office team: Supervise, support and develop our damp, roofing and restoration coordinators, ensuring enquiries, appointments and projects are handled professionally.
- Setting clear expectations and ensuring accountability.
- Oversee daily departmental operations, workloads, job allocation and performance.
- Identify operational inefficiencies, implement improvements and maintain high standards of service delivery.
Planning, Scheduling & Job Coordination
- Oversee the scheduling maintenance works, from initial enquiry through to completion.
- Ensure engineers, tradespeople and subcontractors are allocated appropriately according to their technical skills, availability and job requirements.
- Monitor job progress, resolve scheduling conflicts, prevent delays and ensure effective resource utilisation.
- Liaise closely with the Managing Director, Maintenance Coordinators, Site Supervisor, Surveyors, Subcontractors and tradesmen.
Project Delivery & Quality Control
- Ensure surveys, reports, quotations, job documentation and photographic evidence are accurate, complete and submitted on time.
- Monitor workmanship, project progress and adherence to company standards and procedures.
- Manage callbacks, recurring issues, complaints and operational challenges to achieve timely resolutions.
Client Communication & Commercial Performance
- Maintain professional communication with clients, contractors and internal teams throughout each project.
- Ensure customers receive timely updates and that issues are addressed before they become complaints.
Performance and profitability:
- Monitor departmental performance, job progress, resource efficiency and reporting standards.
Improving our systems:
- Help develop efficient working practices, strengthen accountability and maintain high-quality service.
What We Offer:
- Fixed Hours with Overtime Options: Work from 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday.
- Salary: Proposed salary of £42,000 - £48,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
- Holidays: 28 days annual leave per year (including bank holidays)
Professional Growth:
- A genuine opportunity to progress towards Operations Management.
- Direct involvement in improving a growing London business.
- A collaborative working environment with specialist trade teams.
- Regular performance reviews and opportunities for professional development.
- Dynamic Work Environment: Be part of a young, fast-paced, and dynamic team making a real difference in London.
