Job Description

The Staffordshire Centre for Data Analytics (SCDA) is a partnership consisting of Staffordshire County Council, Staffordshire Police, and Keele University.

Our vision is to lead the way in addressing public sector challenges through innovative research, data analytics, and collaborative working.

The Project Support Officer will oversee the progress and delivery of our Research Projects and may take direct responsibility for projects, associated activities, or tasks.

The role will follow a hybrid working arrangement from Monday to Friday, on a fixed-term contract until March 2026 (with potential for extension).

Main Responsibilities
  • Report on the progress of research projects against plans, internal processes, and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Establish quality control and project governance, analyze risks, and maintain risk registers.
  • Identify and communicate risks or issues within projects for resolution.
  • Support the development of research proposals, conduct ad-hoc research, and collate data and insights.
  • Build positive relationships with stakeholders across Staffordshire.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and events, facilitating where appropriate.
  • Understand and apply information governance principles in project design and delivery.

  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and techniques.
  • Experience in analyzing and reporting on data.
  • Excellent written English and numerical interpretation skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse professionals.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude focused on delivery.
