The RoleThe postholder will be responsible for operationally managing elements of the project in support of the Project / Programme Manager with overall responsibility for leading the project / programme. Responsibilities will include to support, facilitate and monitor progress of progress of the project to ensure project timescales and objectives are being achieved.
The postholder will be responsible for provision of training relating to the project.
In this key role, you will:- Be responsible for operationally planning and managing elements of the project in support of the Project / Programme Manager.
- Be responsible for monitoring the progress of the project through use of appropriate assessment tools, including regular updating of the project plan, to ensure project timescales and objectives are being achieved.
- Participate as a member of the project steering group providing regular updates on progress of areas of responsibility.
- Be responsible for planning and delivery of project training and development events to end users in systems and processes relating to the project.
- To develop policies, procedures and protocols relating to the elements of the project that the postholder is responsible for ensuring effective operation of the project.
- Well developed interpersonal skills and ability to apply diplomatic and tactful approach to dealing with project issues.
- Previous experience of monitoring budgets
- A good understanding of the issues, policies and legislation relating to the project
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software, e.g. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
