Job Description

You will be the key to Algeco delivering a turn key solution by ensuring the project is handled efficiently, safely and with the highest standard of customer service. This role is a stepping stone to a rewarding career as a Project Manager, where you'll drive excellence and innovation in every project.

PURPOSE

The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation and de-installation of Algeco products and associated equipment, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company and regulatory standards. Acting as the main point of contact for customers throughout the project, the Supervisor attends pre-start and site meetings, provides progress updates, manages communications, and completes project handovers, including obtaining customer sign-off.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

The role includes inspecting units before collection, documenting any damage, and liaising with service centres and third-party suppliers to ensure the correct materials and equipment are available. The Supervisor executes project plans under the guidance of the Project Delivery Manager or Project Manager while ensuring compliance with all risk assessments, safe systems of work, operating procedures, and health and safety requirements. The Supervisor is responsible for monitoring the quality of work carried out by both internal teams and external contractors to ensure it meets Algeco, customer, and regulatory standards. They also manage the correct use of stock and equipment, ensuring the necessary parts are available for each project. Strong IT skills are required to use laptops and handheld devices for recording daily work plans and communicating with customers. As a representative of Algeco, the Supervisor is expected to maintain a professional, courteous manner at all times and uphold the company's values when working on customer sites.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation or construction industry, including working at height, manual handling, and general maintenance. They should be proficient in the safe use of power tools, possess basic IT skills, and demonstrate excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities while upholding Algeco's values. Experience with modular space solutions, installation projects, or construction is desirable.

Essential qualifications to include:

  • SSSTS
  • Gold Card Supervision
  • CSCS Blue Skilled Worker (NVQ Level 2) card
  • Slinger/Signaller
  • Lift Supervisor
  • IPAF and/or PASMA certification
  • Valid UK driving licence

Desirable qualifications include SMSTS, MEWP (Manager). First Aid certification.
