Job Description
The Job:

As Project Planner, you'll be responsible for planning, coordinating and monitoring projects from initial scheduling through to successful completion. Working closely with Operations, Commercial and Delivery teams, you'll ensure resources are utilised effectively, projects remain on schedule, and clients receive an outstanding service.

You'll act as the central point of coordination between internal teams, site crews, subcontractors and clients, helping to keep projects moving safely, efficiently and profitably.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, schedule and coordinate multiple projects from commencement through to completion.
  • Develop and maintain project programmes, ensuring labour, plant and equipment are allocated effectively.
  • Liaise with clients, site teams, subcontractors and internal departments to ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying risks, delays and resource issues while implementing practical solutions.
  • Coordinate daily work schedules and maximise resource utilisation across multiple projects.
  • Track project performance, including productivity, programme milestones, costs and revenue.
  • Review completed works to ensure labour, plant and material usage is accurately recorded for invoicing.
  • Support commercial activities including quotations, work orders, payment applications and project variations.
  • Ensure projects comply with company procedures, client specifications and health & safety standards.
  • Produce regular project reports and progress updates for management and clients.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in Project Planning, Project Coordination or Project Management.
  • Experience within construction, civils, utilities, drainage or infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of project scheduling or planning software.
  • Experience using ERP, CRM or work management systems such as Salesforce, GeoPal or similar.
  • Understanding of project commercial controls, including costs, variations and payment applications.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to manage several projects and competing priorities simultaneously
