On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Project Manager for a 12 Month contract based in Derby (3 Days on-site per week).

The Role & Responsibilities:

We're looking for a proactive Project Manager to support the successful delivery of a key programme and manage Government quarterly reporting cycles. This role is central to coordinating multiple workstreams, ensuring effective governance, and maintaining strong collaboration with partners, including Universities and SMEs.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, monitor, and control the overall programme to ensure quality, governance, and delivery integrity.
  • Establish and maintain programme governance structures and reporting mechanisms.
  • Track progress against deliverables and target dates, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Identify programme-level risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Arrange and coordinate review meetings between the Clients and Stakeholders.
  • Capture partner updates and coordinate input for the Quarterly Review Meetings.
  • Work across multiple divisions (Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering.

Support the "Digitise the Product Introduction Process (DPIP)" project, including:

    • Organising training across divisions.
    • Helping define scope, objectives, and benefits.
    • Supporting delivery of strategic improvements.
    • Contribute to the development and deployment of new digital thread capabilities within Design Engineering.

What we require from the Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Strong project management experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage interdependencies, risks, and governance.
  • Experience working in engineering, manufacturing, or digital transformation programmes preferred.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management and confident coordinating across different teams and external partners.
