Job Description

Cash Converters UK is growing its retail network and seeks an experience person to Manage Projects. The ideal candidate will lead the end-to-end delivery of new store openings, major store refurbishments, and other business enhancement projects. The role is office based at our High Wycombe Head Office and will involve a wide variety of projects across all facets of the business

You will take projects from concept to launch, managing budgets, coordinating contractors, and ensuring every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to brand standards, liaising with all the various Heads of Department to ensure their understanding and compliance to timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver all aspects of new store openings, refurbishments, and other business projects.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders, external contractors, landlords, and suppliers.
  • Develop and manage project plans, critical paths, budgets, and risk registers.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, building regulations, and company standards.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports and updates to senior leadership.
  • Oversee snagging, handover, and post-opening reviews in relation to store openings/refurbishments to capture lessons learned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Project Management Certification: PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, or equivalent would be advantageous.
  • Proven Track Record: At least 3 years delivering projects in retail, hospitality, or multi-site environments.
  • New Store Expertise: Demonstrable success managing multiple new store openings or major fitouts.
  • Strong budgeting, scheduling, and risk management capabilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the senior management team to deliver outcomes within budget.
  • An in depth knowledge of high street and retail operations.

Desirable Skills

  • Logical, structured thinker with strong numerical skills.
  • Knowledge of property acquisition or lease negotiation.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet) and advanced spreadsheet skills.
