The Organisation
Our client makes a difference to families and children throughout Wales by supporting welfare and early years learning.
They develop and regulate these sectors in Wales, ensuring the workforce, industry improvements, data and research are enabled and supported. Through their quality assurance work, they support those in both education and practice settings, ensuring the highest level of training for the next generation of workers.
They are now looking for a Project Manager to join them on a two-year fixed-term contract, working 36 hours per week. However, this role is offered with flexible working, and our client will also consider candidates as part of a job share. This hybrid role will be based in either their offices in North or South Wales with remote working options.

The Role
As a Project Manager, you will deliver projects focused on improving how our client regulates and supports practices across their industry.
Engaging with suppliers and stakeholders right across the industry, you will define, plan and deliver projects, whilst also supporting project management for other relevant projects and workstreams.
You will co-ordinate and manage end-to-end project delivery, leading a small team of project staff and overseeing risk management and resource allocation.
About You
To be considered as a Project Manager, you will need:
- Experience in delivering complex projects and managing cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of a range of project management principles and evaluation methods
- Strong understanding of public sector operations and relevant Welsh legislation
- Experience line managing staff and supporting team development
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex information clearly
- Proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- A relevant degree or project management qualification with substantial experience
The ability to communicate in Welsh would be advantageous.
