About the Role:We are seeking a motivated and responsible Project Manager to join our team. As part of the Operations team, you will play a key role in managing the restoration of a portfolio of cars. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is organised, detail oriented, and thrives in a fast paced environment. You'll be working in our state of the art facility alongside a friendly, supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor progress of projects with a "hands on" approach to ensure successful delivery of all aspects of projects, utilising the Project Management competences of scope, time, cost, quality, risk, resource planning and communications.
- Engage in constant communication with internal and external stakeholders keeping the team up to date with progress.
- Writing estimates using our project management toolkits, as well as our bespoke DMS system.
- Assist in the implementation of policies and procedures to meet required quality standards.
- Engage teams to succeed by showing clear ownership and driving accountability of tasks.
- Manage suppliers of equipment and tooling to ensure adherence to timing, specification, production approval and costs supporting the Purchasing team in sourcing decisions.
- Lead multi disciplined teams to execute projects in accordance with quality, schedule and cost commitments.
- Communicate with stakeholders, partners & customers remotely and face to face, during project development and execution phases.
- Maintain communication with leadership team, ensuring awareness of potential roadblocks, risks or challenges and propose appropriate solutions.
- Track, monitor and report project performance using project management tools, ensuring monthly program status reports are available at month end to track open issues.
- Build knowledge / understanding of new car builds and re prep process and look to streamline.
- Build solid relationships with all staff members to allow access to all available information.
- Proven experience working in the automotive industry in a project management role.
- Demonstrated track record of engineering ability in an electrical or mechanical discipline.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Experience managing customers both technically and commercially to ensure costs, delivery and quality are clear at all times.
- Experience of working in an automotive engineering or design and manufacturing environment.
- A good understanding of business processes, methods and quality assurance systems.
- A high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively and collaboratively with others.
- Be self motivated and results focused.
- Advanced MS office skills.
- Instinctive problem solving skills coupled with a sound analytical approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, practiced in negotiation and presentations.
- Ability to work under pressure while managing conflicting demands against tight deadlines.
