Project Manager - MS Dynamics (FTC)

Are you passionate about driving innovation and leading transformative projects? Digital Catapult is seeking a Project Manager to join our Delivery Team on an 18-month Fixed Term Contract. In this role, you will be responsible for the project management and delivery of the Business Systems Transformation Programme, replacing our existing Finance, Programme / Project / Resource Management and HR systems with Microsoft Dynamics. We are looking for candidates with a proven track record in leading company-wide transformation programmes on budget, on time, and to high standards of quality.
WHAT YOU'LL DO (Duties)
- Design, lead, plan, and manage the delivery of activities for the Business Systems Transformation Programme, ensuring projects are on budget, on time, and meet quality standards.
- Monitor project performance, proactively manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop project strategy, structure (workstreams and tasks), and resourcing plans. Set realistic goals, milestones, and targets to achieve desired outcomes.
- Manage vendors and third-party suppliers to ensure contracted deliverables are timely, within budget, and of expected quality.
- Support change management processes during implementation.
- Develop test strategies and plans, coordinating testing phases of Microsoft Dynamics projects including unit, system, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Successfully lead and deliver Microsoft Dynamics projects covering HR, Finance, and Project Operations, using methodologies such as Prince2, Scrum, or Kanban.
- Work effectively with vendors, partners, and consultants to implement Microsoft Dynamics systems.
- Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills at senior levels, with clear and effective communication.
- Apply a structured approach to planning and delivery.
- Provide accurate reporting to senior leadership teams.
- Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Utilize project management tools such as MS Project, SmartSheet, JIRA, Trello, and Confluence. A formal PM qualification (e.g., PRINCE2 Practitioner or Certified Scrum Master) is desirable. Knowledge of collaborative tools like Salesforce and Miro is a plus.
