The context
Engineered Ceramics UK makes specialist ceramic components that end up in some pretty demanding applications. When new products or new customers come on board, getting them into the factory smoothly really matters - to quality, delivery, and the customer experience.
That's where this role comes in. We're looking for a Project Manager who knows how to take complex manufacturing projects from "this needs doing" through to fully up and running - without drama, missed deadlines, or crossed wires.
The roleYou'll own the end to end delivery of new product and new customer introductions across our UK sites. That means planning the work, lining up the people and equipment, spotting risks early, and keeping everyone moving in the same direction.
It's hands on, cross functional, and very real world. This isn't about ticking boxes - it's about making sure new business lands safely in the factory and stays on track.
What you'll be doing- Lead new product and customer transition projects from start to finish
- Build clear, task level project plans and keep them honest
- Coordinate engineering, operations, quality, supply chain and suppliers
- Define process, capability, equipment, and resource requirements
- Track progress, flag risks early, and put recovery plans in place when needed
- Make sure projects meet customer specs, quality standards, and capacity targets
- Keep project documentation, governance, and reporting in good shape
- Provide regular, clear updates to the Site Manager and senior leaders
- Drive improvements in how projects are introduced and delivered
