Job Description

Senior Project Manager - Contract Belfast (Hybrid - 3 days onsite / 2 remote) 6 month contract (March-August 2026, extension possible) Utilities
Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to deliver complex Digital, IT and Microsoft 365 transformation projects within a large, regulated utilities organisation.The role will focus on driving adoption of Microsoft 365 modern workplace capabilities following a recent Windows 11 and M365 migration, working with internal teams and third party suppliers.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of medium to large scale Digital and IT transformation projects
  • Own project planning, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and change control
  • Manage third party suppliers and delivery partners
  • Provide regular reporting to programme management
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams within a matrix environment
  • Engage senior stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes

Required Experience

  • 10+ years delivering complex IT / Digital / business transformation projects
  • Strong experience with PRINCE2 or similar, plus Agile / Waterfall delivery
  • Proven track record managing large budgets and complex project plans
  • Senior level stakeholder and supplier management experience
  • Strong PMO governance, risk, and issue management expertise

Microsoft 365 Expertise (Essential)

  • Leading Modern Workplace / Microsoft 365 adoption programmes
  • Maximising value from Microsoft Enterprise licencing (E5/F3)
  • Creating M365 adoption roadmaps
  • Using Adoption Score & Secure Score
  • Experience with Intune, Autopilot, Defender, DLP
  • Desirable: Microsoft Purview / Information Protection

Additional Information

  • Hybrid working: 3 days onsite in Belfast
  • Experience in regulated or utilities environments highly desirable
