Project Lead

Job Description

Abbott is a global leader in health solutions, operating 10 sites across Ireland. This role supports the Vascular Division's Vessel Closure Expansion program.

Location: Clonmel, Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management activities for a specified workstream or manufacturing line.
• Maintain task and deliverable adherence to the established schedule through weekly Tier meetings.
• Develop and challenge existing schedules, optimizing layout and flow with MS Project.
• Build an in depth understanding of the workstream to provide valuable input to team discussions.
• Lead problem solving workshops to identify gaps in the program.
• Engage with key suppliers and vendors to assess project management capabilities versus industry standards.
• Identify and resolve operational problems to mitigate schedule impact.
• Evaluate and authorize changes that significantly impact scope, budget or timeline.
• Select and manage relationships with external contractors to ensure satisfactory service standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Project management experience (PMP certification or equivalent desirable).
• Advanced MS Project and Excel skills.
• Experience with manufacturing and quality documentation.
• Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Problem solving and workshop facilitation experience.
• Solid presentation skills.
• Ability to influence without authority.
• People management experience desirable but not required.

Minimum Requirements

• Level 7 degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; 5+ years ideal.
