Job Title: Project Engineer (Junior & Mid Level) - FMCG Packaging
We are seeking enthusiastic and results-oriented Project Engineers to join a dynamic Packaging company within the ever-evolving FMCG industry. This is an exciting opportunity for both junior and mid-level engineers with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement to play a key role in shaping the future of our packaging operations.
Responsibilities- Assist senior engineers with project execution, data analysis, and technical documentation.
- Learn and apply packaging engineering principles and practices.
- Support the development and implementation of new packaging solutions.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and problem-solving for packaging equipment.
- Lead and manage projects related to specialized packaging equipment, line optimisation, and automation.
- Identify and implement unique opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, maintenance, and procurement) to ensure project success.
- Analyse data and recommend solutions for packaging-related issues.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers within the team.
- Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Electrical Engineering (minimum 1 year experience preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to function independently and work as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- High standard of written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical-, Mechatronic-, or Electrical Engineering (minimum 5 years of work experience preferred).
- Proven experience in project management and execution.
- Strong understanding of packaging engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ensure that the client receives technically sound equipment that meets specification and relevant standards based on first principal engineering.
- Make production related decisions backed by sound engineering practices that meet the business demand.
- Communicate technical information at a high standard both written and verbally.
- Integrate various parts/components and interfaces on both a technical and non-technical level to realise the client requirements.
- Facilitate Client-Supplier interfacing to ensure that the product meets the clients' specifications. Coordinate and facilitate formal meetings, reports, and emails.
- Utilise root cause analysis tools to resolve plant and equipment failures.
- Head the design process from concept to detailed design and implementation.
- Identify and pursue new engineering opportunities within the FMCG environment.
