Job Description
Navio Ltd currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
Responsibilities- Planning, organising and co-ordinating mechanical services installations.
- Developing and editing CAD drawings for various projects.
- Sourcing and procuring mechanical materials and equipment.
- Liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors on day-to-day project issues.
- Responsible for supporting a diverse portfolio of projects with the capability to project manage small projects autonomously.
- Project execution will focus on safety, schedule, and budget adherence while complying with good engineering practices, company policies, regulations, and SOP's.
- Strict adherence to safe working practices as set out in the safety statement and other company safety rules.
- Understanding of Environmental Health & Safety Requirements on project sites.
- Solutions driven with a 'can-do' attitude.
- Comply with Navio's Quality, Environment and Health & Safety Management System requirements i.e. perform your work according to your process documents, procedures and maintaining document information/completing department forms/records as required.
- Understand and apply our QEHS policy statements in all aspects of your work.
- Contribute towards achieving Navio's QEHS objectives.
- Ensure that the needs and requirements of Navio's internal staff and customers are understood and delivered.
- Help develop and improve Navio's internal processes and management system by reporting corrective actions, updates and improvement ideas.
- A Team player with ability to work collaboratively and engage with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with ability to multitask.
- Resourceful and diligent in seeking solutions to problems and adapting to new situations.
- Has a 'can-do' attitude.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Safe Pass.
- Full clean Irish driver's license.
- 2+ years' experience as a Project Engineer with experience in construction or mechanical engineering.
- Understand project management process, programming, scope development, design development, implementation and project closeout.
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage and execute small to medium sized projects from initiation to completion.
- Excellent communication / organisation skills with an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation from project teams to site leadership team.
- Project execution will focus on safety, schedule, and budget adherence while complying with good engineering practices, company policies, and regulations.
- Support contractor/vendor management, project schedule management and schedule development.
- Strict adherence to safe working practices as set out in the safety statement and other company safety rules.
- Control and monitor the safe working practices of contractors while on site
- Understanding Environmental Health & Safety Requirements on-site.
