Project Engineer - Electrical (Data Centres) Summary

We're seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer based in Dublin to support large-scale data centre projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong electrical building services design expertise and proven leadership in delivering complex engineering solutions. You'll work on high-profile projects and play a key role in ensuring technical excellence throughout each stage.

Location and Working Pattern

Dublin, Ireland - On-site role with potential for occasional travel.

Client Overview

Our client is a leading engineering services provider, recognised for delivering innovative solutions to major data centre and critical infrastructure projects across Europe.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver electrical services designs for a variety of projects.
  • Develop detailed electrical specifications and schematics.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers, ensuring high technical standards.
  • Prepare tender documents and oversee installation quality through to completion.
  • Conduct tender analysis and provide recommendations.
  • Work with project teams and clients to define project scope.
  • Produce budgets, technical reports and progress documentation.
  • Attend site visits and take responsibility for project delivery with minimal management oversight.
Must-have Requirements
  • Honours degree in Electrical Engineering (Chartered status advantageous).
  • Minimum 6 years' experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer.
  • Proven experience in electrical building services design within data centre projects.
  • Strong knowledge of ETCI, CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS and EN Standards.
  • Leadership capability to manage projects from concept to completion.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, architects and project teams.
Nice-to-have Skills
  • Familiarity with Autocad, Dialux, Amtech, and Revit.
  • Chartered Engineer status.
