Project Director - £35M Student Accommodation Scheme - Olympic Park, London

A leading Tier 2 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead a new £35M student accommodation scheme in the Olympic Park, London. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and ambitious business with a strong pipeline of work across London and the South East.

Project
The scheme comprises three new build blocks of student accommodation, with the tallest reaching seven storeys, plus one commercial block. The project is due to come out of Gateway in November, with piling starting shortly after. It's a straightforward brickwork build with high quality expectations and a strong focus on programme and technical delivery.

Role
As Project Director, you will take full ownership of the project from pre construction through to completion, ensuring delivery to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. Following the successful delivery of this scheme, you will move on to lead a second major project for the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the project from inception to completion, ensuring delivery in line with programme, design, and quality objectives.
• Oversee all site operations, design coordination, and commercial performance.
• Manage and motivate a full site team, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Liaise with the client, consultants, and supply chain to maintain clear communication and smooth progress.
• Maintain robust project documentation and quality assurance records throughout.
• Identify and mitigate risks to programme and cost.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager delivering large scale new build schemes (£25M+).
• Strong technical understanding with the ability to interpret and resolve design challenges.
• Excellent programm ing and organisational skills.
• Strong record of delivering projects to high quality and safety standards.
• Experience in student accommodation or residential led schemes is advantageous.

Location: Bromley-By-Bow
Salary: £120,000 - £140,000 /annum
