Job Description

As a Project Director you will direct and manage the delivery of large and complex projects, manage relationships with senior stakeholders and provide leadership role to project teams.

What will you be doing?
  • Project Leadership
    • Provide overall leadership, direction, and management for assigned projects.
    • Act as the primary point of contact with the client, consultants, and contractors.
    • Define project objectives, success criteria, and delivery strategies.
  • Planning & Delivery
    • Oversee feasibility studies, project planning, scheduling, and resourcing.
    • Ensure all project phases (design, procurement, construction, handover) are effectively managed.
    • Monitor progress and implement corrective actions where needed.
  • Commercial & Financial Management
    • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures.
    • Oversee contract administration and claims management.
    • Ensure financial targets and profitability are achieved.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
    • Chair project meetings, providing clear communication of goals, progress, and issues.
    • Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Risk, Quality & Safety
    • Identify and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle.
    • Drive adherence to quality standards, building codes, and regulatory compliance.
    • Promote and enforce health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Team Management
    • Lead, mentor, and develop project teams including project managers, engineers, and support staff.
    • Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture.
    • Allocate resources effectively to maximize efficiency.
What do you need?
  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
    Professional certifications (PMP, MRICS, MCIOB, PE, etc.) preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in project management within the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex projects (e.g., commercial, data centres, infrastructure, healthcare, hospitality, or mixed-use developments).
  • Strong commercial acumen, contractual knowledge, and financial management skills.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
