Are you highly organised, detail oriented, and motivated by supporting structured processes and governance? We are recruiting on behalf of a well established organisation in Cornwall seeking a Support Officer / Projects Administrator to play a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination of projects and committee activity.
About the RoleIn this position, you will provide essential administrative and clerical support across a range of projects and formal meetings. Responsibilities will include preparing agendas, taking accurate minutes, coordinating logistics, and maintaining clear and compliant records. This is a pivotal role supporting governance, transparency, and effective organisational decision making.
Key ResponsibilitiesCommittee & Governance Administration
- Prepare agendas, collate reports, and record accurate minutes
- Ensure documentation is published in line with procedures and deadlines
- Support compliance with statutory requirements and formal processes
Organisation & Time Management
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Maintain structured and accurate records across various activities
Communication & Professionalism
- Produce clear, professional written documentation
- Liaise confidently with stakeholders, maintaining impartiality
Document Management
- Format, proofread, and manage documentation across systems
- Ensure version control and document accuracy
Attention to Detail
- Maintain high standards of accuracy in all records and outputs
IT & Digital Competence
- Use Microsoft Office and digital systems to produce reports and manage workflows
Interpersonal Skills & Teamwork
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Adaptability & Flexibility
- Support evening meetings and occasional events as required
Essential:
- Strong understanding of governance or structured committee processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of organisation and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
- A Levels or equivalent Level 3 qualification
Desirable:
- Experience in a governance, public sector, or committee based environment
- Relevant professional qualifications (or willingness to work towards)
- Full UK driving licence
