Amazon.co.jp announced the launch of "Amazon Business" on September 20th, 2017, a marketplace to meet procurement needs of businesses of all sizes, from small businesses to large multinational organizations, including institutional buyers like universities, schools, and public offices.
Amazon Business Japan is seeking a Pricing Program Manager to lead strategic pricing initiatives. In this role, you will develop and implement innovative pricing mechanisms that ensure our business customers receive competitive B2B pricing. You will advocate for our customers' pricing needs and collaborate with stakeholders across functions and locations, including Sales, Operations, Product Management, Legal, Finance, and Tech teams. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in program management, strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, and a passion for transforming B2B e-commerce in Japan.
Key job responsibilities- Design and execute competitive B2B pricing strategies, managing end-to-end program delivery
- Analyze pricing data, develop models, and create business cases for pricing optimization
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement pricing solutions
- Track program metrics and report performance to leadership
- Drive adoption of pricing tools while aligning with business goals and customer needs
- Listen to customer voices and identify business opportunities, especially Japan-specific requirements to enhance customer experience
- Amazon business intake cases
- Business introduction and employee interviews

Minimum qualifications- 2+ years of program or project management experience
- 2+ years of experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Bachelor's degree
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data to identify improvements
- Stakeholder management experience across organizational levels
- Fluent in Japanese and English (speaking, writing, reading)
- 3+ years of end-to-end delivery experience and reporting results to senior leadership
- 3+ years of process improvement experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive enhancements
