Program Director-School Age Childcare

Ensures programs and services meet community needs by supervising existing program activities, establishing new programs, and expanding current offerings. Assists in marketing and distributing program information.

Manages school-age child care and day camp program operations, including developing and monitoring the department budget to meet fiscal objectives. Maintains participant records, monitors program effectiveness and participation, and responds to feedback.

Recruits, hires, onboard, trains, and develops program staff. Publishes and maintains staff schedules to ensure all shifts are covered. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Ensures staff certifications and training records are current.

Models relationship-building in all interactions; develops and maintains collaborative relationships with staff, participants, school administration, OCFS registrars, and community organizations to maximize impact and drive outcomes. Maintains clear, regular communication.

Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to the department, including OCFS licensing requirements. Ensures safety procedures are followed.

Responsible for the cleanliness of the program area, providing adequate supplies, and maintaining equipment.

Organizes or participates in YMCA activities such as committees, special events, and fundraising.

Serves as a member of the YMCA management team and supports the overall objectives of the YMCA.
