Job Description

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading beverage manufacturing business seeking to appoint a Production Shift Supervisor to join their operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing supervisor with a strong mechanical aptitude to support the Production Shift Manager in delivering safe, efficient and high-performing shift operations within a fast-paced, automated production environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Leading, training and supporting your team to maximise performance
  • Monitoring line performance and implementing corrective actions where required
  • Ensuring adherence to SOPs and operational best practice
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety and challenging unsafe behaviours
  • Conducting quality checks including filling levels, cap integrity and cleanliness
  • Completing production logs, maintenance reports and checklists
  • Supporting problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Working closely with the Production Shift Manager and wider teams to resolve operational issues
What you'll need to succeed
  • Previous supervisory experience with strong organisational, planning and time management skills
  • Proven experience meeting challenging deadlines within a high-speed manufacturing environment, preferably within the beverage industry
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of filling machinery and automated production systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and minimise production downtime, including basic maintenance and mechanical breakdowns
  • Strong understanding of quality control and regulatory standards
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety within a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Flexibility to work rotational shifts including days, nights and weekends, with overtime when required
