We are excited to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business based in Grantham. They are looking for a confident and hands on Shift Team Lead to take ownership of daily production performance and drive team success.
This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, offering long-term career prospects for the right person.
The Role- Coordinating teams, balancing workloads, solving problems on the go, and ensuring daily targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
- Working closely with senior operations management, you'll play a key role in keeping standards high, productivity strong, and teams motivated.
Monday to Friday
6:00am-2:30pm and 2:30pm-11:00pm - rotating weekly
Occasional Saturday work during busy periods
What You'll Be Doing- Leading and motivating teams within a busy production setting
- Organising staffing and workflow to achieve daily output targets
- Monitoring performance and adjusting resources where needed
- Collaborating with fellow team leaders to maintain smooth operations
- Reporting equipment issues or downtime promptly
- Carrying out quality checks to maintain high standards
- Championing health and safety best practice at all times
- Monitoring attendance, timekeeping, and team productivity
- Completing shift reports and production documentation
- Supporting training and development of team members
- Identifying improvement opportunities and driving efficiencies
- Assisting with resolving operational or customer related issues
- Ensuring work areas are organised, clean, and ready for each shift
- Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing, production, food processing, or similar environments
- A confident leader who can engage and motivate teams
- Strong organisational and problem solving skills
- Comfortable working to targets and performance metrics
- Solid understanding of workplace health and safety
- Good numeracy skills for reporting and production tracking
- IOSH Working Safely qualification
- First Aid certification
