Job Description

Our Expediters are responsible for the movement of materials around Production areas to help minimise downtime and keep Production going.

This improves efficiency by allowing our colleagues to concentrate on producing their part of the process. Our Expeditors are a critical part of our business!

Our sites are in an easily accessible location just off Cowpen Road in Blyth, Northumberland.

What you'll do:
  • To ensure that production targets are met you'll be moving materials and part finished product through the shopfloor supporting other colleagues to minimise their downtime
  • You'll be doing what you can to ensure that production avoid problems and that machines and metal workers are constantly fed with product
  • Set up full kits of parts from engineering drawings, ensuring all parts are present for the build stage
  • Working from daily plans you'll move a variety of product around, using pallet trucks and forklifts
  • Moving or supporting loads by hand will include lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving product and materials
  • You'll be looking for ways to improve the expediting processes
