Production Operator - Inverness, UK

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate production equipment safely and efficiently in line with standard operating procedures.
  • Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance tasks to keep machinery running to specification.
  • Monitor production output and quality, reporting any issues promptly to the relevant lead.
  • Follow health and safety procedures, including safe working practices and correct use of PPE.
  • Complete production documentation accurately, including batch/shift records where required.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve throughput.
  • Work effectively with colleagues across the shift to maintain smooth production flow.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with housekeeping standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions accurately.
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices, including safe systems of work.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform routine checks on equipment.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to report issues clearly.
  • Numeracy and literacy skills sufficient to complete production records.
  • Experience working with manufacturing processes and production targets (advantageous).
  • Relevant safety training such as manual handling and/or COSHH awareness (advantageous).
