Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of safety awareness and report near misses.
• Carry out routine service and calibration on portable and fixed gas detection devices.
• Investigate and identify root cause of device failures.
• Log warranty and non warranty fault codes and maintain batch records.
• Provide support to production and participate in daily workgroup shift start-up meetings.
• Take part in continuous improvement and 5S activities.
• Ensure tooling and equipment are calibrated and maintain production cell area.
• Guide trainee operators and monitor product shelf lives.
• Will undertake additional tasks within capability as required.

Required Skills & Experience

• Maths & English GCSE grade C or above.
• Manual dexterity.
• Ability to clearly follow work instructions.

Desirable

• 2 years' experience in manufacturing or assembly.
• Aware of lean and continuous improvement methodology.
