Production Operative - Lilley Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm £28,000 Permanent Opportunity

Responsibilities- As a Production Operative, you will play a key role in the mixing, packing, and dispatch of products, ensuring production targets, food safety standards, and quality requirements are consistently achieved.
- Mixing spices and seasonings using industrial mixing equipment
- Operating and monitoring packing machinery
- Working across two mixing stations and two production lines
- Packing finished products accurately and efficiently
- Loading, unloading, lifting, and moving boxes and sacks up to 25kg
- Carrying out product and packaging quality checks
- Cleaning mixers, machinery, and production areas following use
- Supporting stock movement and material handling activities
- Completing production records and basic computer-based tasks
- Following food hygiene, HACCP, and health & safety procedures
- Supporting lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assisting with general production and warehouse duties as required
Required:
- Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or food production experience is advantageous
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong work ethic and reliable attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
- Basic IT skills
- Positive and proactive approach to work
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Desirable:
- Forklift Counterbalance Licence
- Forklift Reach Truck Licence
- Experience operating production machinery
- Food manufacturing experience
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
