The Role of a Production Operative

An opportunity to join a fast paced production environment, responsible for manufacturing products safely and efficiently while meeting quality and operational standards. The role involves operating machinery, following procedures, and supporting continuous improvement.

The Role:

• Manufacture products in line with process specifications.
• Follow standard operating procedures and safe equipment use.
• Set up and operate machines, including sintering, pressing, and cutting equipment.
• Carry out machine start up checks and ensure safe operation.
• Monitor production and complete accurate stock checks.
• Maintain health, safety, and quality systems with up to date records.
• Follow company procedures and support risk assessments.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Use measuring equipment to ensure quality standards.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and record results.
• Identify defects and support corrective actions.
• Support process improvements and new product introductions.
• Keep training and skills up to date.

The Candidate:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow processes and work to targets
• Good understanding of health and safety
• Team player with a flexible and reliable approach
