MTrec Recruitment are currently supporting our industry leading manufacturing client on their search for a permanent Production Operative to join their team on a full time and permanent basis. If you feel you have the skills and experience required, then please apply for an immediate response.
The Job you will be doingA Production Operator is responsible for assembling, soldering, inspecting, or testing electronic components and subassemblies in a cell according to company standards and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble electronic parts, wiring, or subassemblies following diagrams or work instructions.
- Operate small tools, soldering irons, or testing equipment safely and accurately.
- Inspect components for defects or deviations from specifications.
- Perform rework or touch-up soldering when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
- Record production data, such as quantities, defects, and time taken.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, according to the Health and Safety Executive.
- You will be working 2 shift patterns alternate weeks at 6:00 am - 2:00 pm and 2:00pm - 12:00 am
- Technical training or prior experience in electronics assembly is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of electronic components (resistors, capacitors, ICs, etc.).
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings or assembly instructions.
- Experience in soldering (preferred but not always required).
- Attention to detail and quality.
- Basic computer or documentation skills.
- Hand soldering of conventional components to IPC standards
