Job Description
About the Role

As a Production Operative (SL1) in Wolverhampton, you will join an industrial operation working a twilight shift from Monday to Friday, 19:00 to 03:00. This full time role pays £19.14 per hour and involves safely handling, sorting, and moving industrial cylinders throughout the facility.

Shift Pattern & Pay

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 19:00 - 03:00

Hourly Pay: £19.14 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely handle, sort, and move industrial cylinders throughout the production area.
  • Operate forklift trucks to transport materials and products across the site.
  • Inspect pallets and loads to ensure they are secure, stable, and compliant with safety standards before movement or dispatch.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to prepare and organise loads for collection and distribution.
  • Conduct visual inspections of cylinders and identify any defects, damage, or quality concerns.
  • Follow all site health, safety, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient working environment.
  • Support operational targets by contributing to productivity and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Strong commitment to health and safety.
  • Ability to carry out manual handling duties in a physically demanding environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills.
  • Forklift Truck (FLT) experience or certification is advantageous.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to identify defects or quality issues.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively in a busy production setting.
  • Must be subject to alcohol and drug testing at the start and may be tested periodically.
  • Must adhere to site safety requirements and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while on site.
