Production Operative (Metal Work)

Recruit4staff is recruiting for a Production Operative (Metal Work) role based in St Helens. The position is Temp to Perm, paid at £14 per hour with a weekly attendance bonus. Working hours are Monday Thursday 7:45 4:30 and Friday 7 45 (38 hours per week).

Responsibilities

As a Production Operative (Metal Work), you will prepare and paint metal components used in the construction sector, including cleaning, prep, and shot blasting materials before wet spray paint finishes; operate a counterbalance forklift to move materials safely; and support other departments as required.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Production Operative (Metal Work) or similar role involving wet spray painting
• Proven experience in cleaning, preparing, and shot blasting metal components prior to painting
• Experience working in a fast paced industrial environment spraying various sizes and shapes of products
• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (in house or expired licences may be considered)

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Spray Painting or similar
