Roles & Responsibilities
  • Safely lift, carry and move steel components and finished products.
  • Carry out basic spray painting duties, including surface preparation and applying coatings as instructed.
  • Perform grinding, fettling, deburring and surface preparation using hand and power tools.
  • Support general production activities including packing, labelling and basic assembly.
  • Carry out basic visual quality inspections and report any defects.
  • Follow work instructions and health & safety procedures at all times.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and 5S standards throughout the workshop.
  • Wear the appropriate PPE, including safety boots, gloves, eye and hearing protection, and respirators where required.
  • Work towards daily production targets while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Shift Pattern
  • Monday to Thursday
  • 6:00am - 4:30pm
  • Four-day working week
About You
  • Comfortable working in an engineering or manufacturing workshop environment.
  • Happy carrying out physically demanding, hands-on work.
  • Able to undertake manual handling and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Willing to carry out basic spray painting and grinding duties safely.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
Desirable
  • Previous experience as a Production Operative.
  • Experience working within an engineering or manufacturing workshop.
  • Knowledge of basic quality standards.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
