Hewett Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production Operative on behalf of a leading manufacturer of medical products. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business in a hands-on role that combines production assembly and warehouse support.

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 08:00am - 5:00pm
• Friday: 08:00am - 1:00pm
• 39 hours per week

The Role

As a Production Operative, you will assist with the assembly, testing, repair and refurbishment of medical devices and overhead hoists, whilst supporting the day-to-day operations of the service warehouse.

Key Responsibilities Production & Assembly

• Assist in the assembly and testing of medical devices and overhead hoists.
• Support the repair and refurbishment of returned products.
• Help troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues.
• Ensure products meet required quality and operational standards.
• Complete builds in line with customer orders and service requirements.
• Support engineering changes and continuous improvement activities.

Warehouse Duties

• Pick, pack and dispatch parts for customers and field engineers.
• Assist with stock control and inventory management.
• Support goods-in and goods-out processes.
• Help maintain accurate stock records using company systems.
• Assist with stock takes and warehouse improvement projects.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

About You

• Previous experience in a production, assembly or warehouse environment.
• Ability to use hand tools and assembly equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings would be beneficial.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Flexible approach to work and occasional travel if required.
