Production Operative

Join our team at DS Smith Wirral and play a key role in delivering high quality production! We're looking for a motivated Production Operative to support our manufacturing operations. You'll help ensure smooth production processes, maintain safety standards, and achieve performance targets.
Main Responsibilities- Take responsibility for your own and others' health & safety, following SSOW (Safe System of Work) and company procedures.
- Immediately report any unsafe acts or incidents to management.
- Meet productivity and quality targets consistently.
- Carry out daily warehouse and production activities.
- During holidays and busy periods assist in loading and unloading vehicles, feeding machinery with material whilst liaising with the office.
- Safety First mindset.
- Self motivated, positive, and enthusiastic.
- Strong communications skills (verbal and written).
- Team player with a quality focused approach.
- Flexible and open to multi skilled working and constructive challenge.
- Preferred experience: background in corrugated board manufacturing (ideal but not essential).
- Previous experience in production machine and FLT operations.
- Basic maths skills for inventory tasks.
- Counterbalance licence.

Working hours: 39.5 Hours - Mon - Thu 8.00 - 16.30, Friday 8.00 - 13.30.
