Job Description

Are you comfortable with hands on, physically active work in a real industrial environment? This is not a clean production line role. It is a practical, outdoor, process driven position where you will be directly involved in turning waste materials into sustainable fuel. If you take pride in hard work, follow safety standards, and want a stable, long term role in a growing energy business, this could be a great fit.

You will be working on a 24/7 processing site, helping convert waste oil into biofuel and aviation fuel as part of a circular economy operation. This is a varied role across the tank farm and processing plant, combining manual handling, plant operation and process monitoring. You will play a key part in keeping production running safely and efficiently.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Unloading incoming tankers and connecting pipework safely
  • Sampling and testing raw materials against specifications
  • Filtering waste oil and removing contaminants
  • Loading and operating processing equipment including heating and centrifuge systems
  • Monitoring plant performance through control systems
  • Handling and processing materials safely, including regulated waste streams
  • Completing accurate paperwork and recording data
  • Supporting safe loading of finished product for dispatch
  • Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
This is a true industrial site environment:
  • Outdoor, yard based and factory based work
  • Strong smells due to waste processing materials
  • Physically demanding with regular lifting and movement
  • Exposure to waste materials, including unexpected contaminants
  • Full PPE provided and required at all times

If you enjoy active, hands on work and being part of a process, it will suit you well.

What We Are Looking For
  • Experience in a manufacturing, production or processing environment
  • Comfortable working in a dirty, strong smelling industrial setting
  • Physically capable of manual handling and active work
  • Able to work 12 hour shifts on a rotating pattern
  • Own transport due to site location
  • Experience working to strict health and safety standards
  • Exposure to sampling, testing or quality checks
  • FLT licence or experience operating plant equipment
  • Any background in oil, chemical or heavy process industries
Hours and Pay
  • 4 on 4 off shift pattern (non rotating)
  • Days: 6am - 6pm - £15.15 per hour
  • Nights: 6pm - 6am - £16.15 per hour
  • 30 minute break every 2 hours - 3 breaks paid
Benefits
  • 20 days holiday plus birthday off, increasing with service
  • Regular paid breaks throughout your shift
  • Company events and team days
  • On site facilities including showers and break areas
  • Subsidised vending
  • Ongoing investment in site improvements and automation
  • Stable, growing business within the energy sector

This is a business investing in the future of sustainable fuel, where your work directly contributes to turning waste into energy. You will join a site that values safety, consistency and teamwork, with long term opportunities for those who want to build a career in process operations.
