Job Description

Amazon Studios is a premium audio-visual content development and production company. We are looking for an experienced Production Executive (based in Chennai/Hyderabad) to work on Regional language Original series (scripted/unscripted & Movies) produced in India.

The candidate should have production management skills, be able to prepare and read budgets and schedules, align with studio production goals, and have experience in the Tamil/Telugu film/TV market. Strong relationships with local Producers, Executive Producers, and Line Producers, along with on-set problem-solving skills, are essential.

Key Job Responsibilities Core Responsibilities:
  • Team Collaboration & Project Management: Negotiate and analyze budgets for low-mid level shows; collaborate on development and production projects; partner with producers and creative teams to negotiate budgets; be present on-set to evaluate workflows and identify challenges.
  • Financial Oversight: Analyze cost reports and budgets; track payments including purchase orders and overages; manage development and package fees.
  • Documentation & Communication: Maintain project schedules and budgets; contribute to department policies; ensure adherence to studio policies and standards.
  • Project Monitoring & Compliance: Track major milestones like budget approval, deliverables, and international filming activities; ensure compliance with studio guidelines.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks aligned with studio's objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and cost reports.
  • Knowledge of local industry policies.
  • Collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Experience with digital media workflows and post-production.
  • Familiarity with local guilds and unions.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Fluent in Tamil & Telugu (written and spoken).
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years in budgeting, scheduling, and cost reporting.
  • 5+ years as a producer, production manager, or line producer.
  • Experience managing projects and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with digital media workflows and post-production.
  • 6+ years in budgeting, scheduling, and cost reporting.
