Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to excellence in operations management. The successful candidate will oversee the production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and continuous improvement.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee the entire production department, ensuring all operations run smoothly and efficiently while meeting business objectives.
  • Lead, manage, and train the production team, providing guidance and support to improve processes and procedures.
  • Conduct regular meetings with team leaders to discuss progress and address any issues or obstacles in operations.
  • Responsible for the recruitment and training of new staff, including conducting interviews and coordinating with HR for successful candidate integration.
  • Manage the annual budget for site development, including procurement of new laboratory equipment and enhancements to existing processes.
  • Develop and maintain effective procedures for material management, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures across all staff levels.
  • Collaborate with the Health & Safety department to ensure all operations are conducted safely and in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Analyze operational data to produce reports on business performance, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for cross-functional teams, facilitating communication and coordination between sales, IT, and finance departments.
  • Engage in problem-solving activities, including system improvements and logistical challenges, to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role, preferably in a related industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Adept at decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems and familiar with data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Good understanding of budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
