Up to £55K based on experience

Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with a high-growth food manufacturer based in the Craigavon area to recruit a Production Manager to lead operations across their bakery production facility.

This is a key leadership role within an ambitious and expanding company that operates across both the traditional bakery and health-focused food sectors. Your day to day as the successful Production Manager

Production Oversight

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of a busy bakery production line, ensuring output meets both volume and quality targets.
  • Monitor workflows, manage production schedules, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with planning, technical, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth, on-time order fulfilment.

People Management

  • Manage and motivate a team of production operatives and supervisors.
  • Drive a high-performance culture through clear communication, training, and development initiatives.
  • Support succession planning and team growth in line with business expansion.

Quality & Compliance

  • Maintain full compliance with all relevant food safety, hygiene, and quality standards (HACCP, BRC, etc).
  • Work alongside the technical function to implement corrective actions and uphold audit readiness.
  • Conduct regular checks, reporting, and documentation in line with regulatory and internal requirements.

Continuous Improvement & H&S

  • Champion operational excellence through lean thinking and process improvement.
  • Drive cost-efficiency and waste reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety protocols and promote a safety-first culture on the production floor.


Your essential ingredients

  • Proven experience in a Production Management or Supervisor role within a food manufacturing or bakery environment
  • A background in hands-on baking or bakery production is highly advantageous
  • Demonstrable leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, coach and develop teams
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards including HACCP, BRC, and relevant H&S legislation
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities
  • A relevant qualification in food production, bakery, or operations management is desirable
