Focused Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Process/ Machine Operators to join our clients manufacturing plant based within the Cwmbran area.

The successful candidate would need previous experience working within a process driven environment with notable experience monitoring/maintaining machinery/equipment used to process raw materials into production, candidates will need to be familiar with working to SOP's, working to quality systems and standards/lean/5s working.

Hours of work include

Monday - Thursday 07:00am - 15:30pm, Friday 07:00am - 13:00pm.

Duties of the role will include

• Operate and supervise machinery in line with standard procedures.
• Monitor machine performance, making adjustments to maintain quality and consistency.
• Load materials into equipment and prepare them for processing.
• Keep accurate batch records and track material usage.
• Conduct quality checks during production and ensure finished products meet specifications.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to guide production.
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and inspections on machinery.
• Handle materials safely, including forklift operation or manual handling when required.
• Work with colleagues on improvements to increase efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications / experience required

• Proven experience in manufacturing within a similar Milling Machine Operators role
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings
• Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to manufacturing tasks.
• Strong understanding of quality control procedures within a manufacturing setting.
• Desirable to have a forklift truck license; or would be willing to train
